Dr. Jane Baker  BA (Hons), BMBCh, CCFP

Dr. Jane Baker completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBCh) at the University of Oxford. She also received her Certificate of the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) at the University of Alberta. Dr. Baker has been a family doctor since 2008. She has a varied practice; caring for patients in the family medicine office, nursing homes and hospital and she currently serves as Chief of Family Medicine Obstetrics for Edmonton. Dr. Baker loves working alongside a great team of doctors and nurses to help families bring their new baby safely into the world. She also enjoys making and appreciating music, baking with her daughters, and exploring Edmonton’s beautiful river valley.

Dr. Felicia Durnford  MD, MMASc, BSc

Dr. Felicia Durnford was born and raised in Edmonton, and completed her Bachelors of Science (Specialization) in Microbiology at the University of Alberta. She left home to pursue a Masters of Global Health at the University of Western Ontario, including a practicum placement living and working in Uganda. She returned almost-home to complete medical school at the University of Calgary, then actually-home to complete Family Medicine Residency followed by Enhanced Skills in Family Medicine Obstetrics at the University of Alberta. When she is not catching babies or at Edmonton's refugee health clinic, she can be found hiking in the Rockies, crafting, baking, and spending time with her little family - a husband and a fluffy gray cat named Newton.

Dr Yuliya Kolodenko  MD

Dr. Sanja Kostov  BSc (Hons), MD, CCFP

Sanja Kostov received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Neuroscience, her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Kostov leads the Family Medicine Obstetrics Education Program for the University of Alberta Family Medicine Resident Doctors and has been a Mom Care Doc since 2013.  She is committed to always making time to answer any questions (there are no stupid questions!), give suggestions using the latest medical evidence, and ask other medical professionals for help when it's needed. She is honoured that patients place trust in the Mom Care Docs to help them have a safe and enjoyable pregnancy and birth experience. Outside of her work, Dr. Kostov loves good food and wine with friends and family, keeping her twin boys out of trouble (more of a job than a hobby!), and exercise!

Dr. Valerie Krinke  MD, CCFP, BSc

Dr. Valerie Krinke received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Alberta and has since had thirty years in practice, with twenty-five years of pregnancy and delivery care.

Dr. Krinke worked for 10+ years in refugee health and did five years of overseas medical work, primarily in West Africa. Dr. Krinke believes that investment in the care of women is essential for the well-being of our global and local societies. She is passionate about taking care of pregnant women and after thirty years still gets excited about seeing a new life come into this world.

Dr. Krinke always works to make sure the Mom Care Doc patients get the best possible start with their newest parenting journey. In her free time, Dr. Krinke loves hiking, biking, and cooking!

Dr. Brenda Lam-Ivanova  MD

Dr. Rhea Loiselle  BMSc, MD, FCFP

Dr. Rhea Loiselle received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Alberta and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Ottawa. Previous to working with Mom Care Docs, Dr. Loiselle worked in St Albert from 1997 to 2003 and was involved in a low-risk obstetric group at the Sturgeon Hospital. She has since worked at the Allin Clinic since 2004 doing family practice and low-risk obstetrics at the Royal Alex since 2006. Dr. Loiselle is grateful for the opportunity to provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to low-risk patients with a group of like-minded physicians who are all passionate about comprehensive obstetric care. Outside of her work, Dr. Loiselle loves spending her time outdoors: running, cycling, swimming, cross country skiing, and gardening!

Dr Serena Mar  MD

Dr Serena Mar had a long-standing family practice at the Links Clinic before joining some of the other Mom Care Docs at the Allin Clinic. She's always had a keen interest in obstetrics - the only thing she loves more is travelling the world and enjoying a plethora of music festivals.

Dr Janice May  BSc, MD, FCFP

Dr Janice May has been practicing family medicine and obstetrics at the Allin Clinic for over

30 years. She likes walking in the river valley with her favourite family member, hiking in the mountains with the rest of the family, teaching medical students and residents and baking up a storm for holidays.

Dr. Margaret McPhedran  BSc, MD, CCFP

Dr. Margaret McPhedran has a Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Certificate of the College of Family Physicians (CCFP). Along with her education, Dr. McPhedran has 19 years of experience in Family Medicine and primary care Obstetrical Medicine. She loves helping moms have a positive pregnancy and birth experience - and just loves babies! In her free time, Dr. McPhedran bakes, cooks, runs, cycles, and spends time with her lovely family.

Dr. Kaitlin Robertson  BSc, MD, CCFP

Dr. Kaitlin Robertson obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Calgary. She went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine in 2017, with additional specialized training in Maternal and Newborn care. Since then Dr. Robertson has been privileged to help numerous families welcome their newest members into the world, something she cherishes deeply. She also works at the Allin Breastfeeding Clinic, helping parents and babies navigate the ups and downs of feeding. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons and their dog.

Dr. Vickie Siu  BSc (Hons), MD

Dr. Vickie Siu completed an undergraduate degree and received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, as well as a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Alberta. Dr. Siu was a family physician locum and has been a part of the MomCare Docs team since 2012. In addition, Dr. Siu also works at the birth control center and refugee clinic. Dr. Siu loves walking with women through the significant life milestone of pregnancy and is eager to support them through their journey into motherhood. Outside of being an invaluable member of the MomCare Docs team, Dr. Siu is also a passionate baker, crafter, and Oilers fan!

Dr. Sheila Wang  BSc, MD

Dr. Sheila Wang received her Bachelor of Science with Specialization in Immunology and Infection followed by her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. Dr. Wang completed her Family Medicine Residency at Queen's University and graduated from it in 2018. She is a locum physician and has worked in several communities such as Red Deer, Spruce Grove, and Yellowknife doing general family practice and low-risk obstetrics. Dr. Wang also works in Gender Medicine and is passionate about providing care and support to the diverse Mom Care Docs community, supporting families across many cultures. In her free time, Dr. Wang loves gardening, bird watching, and hiking!

Colleen Allen RN, MPH

Ms. Allen received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the U of A. She also received her Masters in Public Health from the University of Wollongong in Australia. Ms. Allen has had the pleasure of working in several areas in which she is passionate, such as research, refugee health, infectious diseases, immunizations, harm reduction and teaching. Ms. Allen loves how this group of physicians connects with and cares for patients in a way that creates long-lasting relationships - patients keep coming back! When not hard at work, Ms. Allen is constantly trying new things - crafts with her daughter (but not often finishing), baking (not always pretty but usually delicious) and maybe a play or two.
